Murray seeded second after completing his grass court preparation

Andy Murray's third win at The Queen's Club on Sunday was expected by most but, for a British player, the lead-up to Wimbledon can often be fraught with pitfalls.

Not so for the world number two, who thwarted adverse weather conditions and spirited attacks by both Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Marin Cilic, both of whom did their best to upend him, to win in convincing style.

The win goes down in the record books for only a handful of players have won three times at Queen's but it was the playfulness of the British number one during the charity exhibition match that followed that endeared him to millions.

WTA launches 40-Love global advertising campaign

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA), has launched its ‘40 LOVE' global print, television and digital advertising campaign.

The campaign is at the centre of the WTA's season-long integrated marketing and communications program launched in January that celebrates four decades of the WTA since its founding in 1973.

Featuring a cast of iconic tennis legends of the past and the present, the campaign release falls on the eve of WTA's 40th birthday.

Richard Lewis awarded CBE in Birthday Honours

Richard Lewis, Chief Executive of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) in The Queen's Birthday Honours.

Lewis has been recognised for services to sports administration as Chairman at Sport England, and lately Executive Chair at the Rugby Football League, where he was employed before joining the AELTC last year.

Aegon agreement extended with LTA for four more years

The Lawn Tennis Association announced on Wednesday that the life and pensions firm, Aegon UK, will continue as the Lead Partner of British Tennis through until 2017.

The new four year deal will see Aegon continue as title sponsor of three of Britain's most prestigious grass court tennis events; the Aegon Championships at the Queen's Club, London, the Aegon International at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne, and the Aegon Classic at Edgbaston Priory Club, Birmingham.
