ITF appoints Executive Director of Professional Tennis 15 May 2012
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the appointment of Kris Dent as its new Executive Director of Professional Tennis, starting in mid-June.
The role will oversee the three ITF departments within the professional game: Davis Cup and Fed Cup, Professional Tournaments and Officiating.

The month of March capped off a promising first quarter in the tennis specialty market, posting increasing racquet unit/dollar numbers rarely seen in 2011.

The Tennis Industry Association (TIA) UK has appointed Brett Watson as its first full time Executive Director based at its new headquarters at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, south London.
Mr Watson, 53, who takes up his duties on 8th May, was with BT from 1994 until 2003, working in a wide variety of commercial roles before being appointed General Manager.

Defending champions and Fed Cup finalists Czech Republic secured their place with a victory over Italy over last weekend and three of the four team members played with Wilson rackets, including singles wins for Petra Kvitova with her Steam 100, Lucie Safarova using her Juice 100 and Lucie Hradecka, who helped to secure the doubles win, with her Wilson Tour BLX.
By reaching the finals, the Czech Republic becomes the world's no. 1 ranked team and moves on to defend its 2011 Fed Cup title.
