Sports Pros Connect promotes new WTCA conference and exhibition in Eastbourne

Mark Wylam, Managing Director of Sports Pros Connect, the one-stop on-line shop for sports fans, coaches and players, has announced his company’s active involvement in the first UK Women’s Tennis Coaching Association (WTCA) Coaches Conference.

To be held at Eastbourne College on June 22nd to 23rd, the event will take place at the same time as the Nature Valley ATP / WTA Tournament at Devonshire Park. Eastbourne College is just a stones throw away from the tournament, and there is a complimentary day on Friday 21st June.

The LTA is supporting the event by awarding 6 CPD license points per day for coaches attending the conference and due to works planned at the NTC, their own national coaching conference will not be taking place this year.

Some of the speakers announced so far include former ITF Director of Development Dave Miley, Fed Cup Captain Anne Keothavang, System-9 creator Andy Dowsett, Polish Director of Coaching Piotr Unierzyski, Anne Pankhurst, Sarah Stone, Emma Doyle, Lauren Jones and many more internationally recognised speakers. The theme for the conference is ‘developing the complete female player’.

With a Mission statement of ‘leading positive change in women’s tennis by providing coaches with the education and training that inspires and safeguards ALL female tennis players to achieve their best on and off the court’ the WTCA is a highly reputable operation led by Women’s Tour Coaches Sarah Stone and Ann Grossman Wunderlich.

As well as coaches, Mark Wylam is also looking for Partners and Exhibitors to support the event. Mark said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for tennis companies in the UK to showcase their products and services to tennis coaches from around the world”.
